Hello everyone! Today we made our last project together, a yeti shaker ornament!
Before I get to the list of supplies, I wanted to give a few tips on making shaker cards because I forgot to mention this during the session! My brain is already on vacation mode, sorry!
I used foam rings (craft foam, 2mm thickness) for card camp because it was easier to make kits using foam rings. You can use double sided foam tape to make the "well" for the shaker guts, especially if the well is square shaped. If you do use foam tape, you can use embossing powder/anti-static powder and brush it around the inside rim of the "wells" to take away some of the stickiness. That way, the shaker guts don't stick as much to the inside.
My preferred method of making shaker cards, if possible (because some designs will not be able to use this frame method), is with a stack of cardstock frames (see picture below). I cut out multiple frames from cardstock (I use 100lb or 110lb paper) and glue them all together layer after layer in a big stack. It takes about 9 or 10 rings to build up a good sized well. This method is great for circular "wells" since foam tape does not curve easily. Cardstock frame stacks also are not as sticky on the sides as foam tape.
Finally, shaker bits will stick to the inside but that's okay. Using little beads will help knock down the sequins :)
Alright, now onto my supplies!
